Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern all home organisation, home styling, and cleaning services ("Services") provided by Dust It Off ("we", "us", "our") to any client who books or engages our Services ("you", "the Client"). By booking a service, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

1. Bookings & Quotes

  1. Quotes provided by Dust It Off are estimates based on the information provided by the Client at the time of enquiry (e.g. property size, number of rooms, current condition of the space). Final pricing may vary if the actual scope of work differs materially from what was described.

  2. A booking is confirmed once the Client has accepted a quote and a service date/time has been agreed in writing (including via email, SMS, or the online enquiry form).

  3. Dust It Off reserves the right to decline or reschedule a booking where access, safety, or scope concerns arise.

2. Payment Terms

  1. An invoice will be issued to the Client upon completion of the Service (or at agreed milestones for larger projects).

  2. Payment is due within 7 days of the invoice date, via the payment method(s) specified on the invoice.

  3. Late payment may incur a reminder fee and/or referral to a debt collection process if payment remains outstanding more than 14 days past the due date, at Dust It Off's discretion.

  4. All prices are in Australian Dollars (AUD) and, where applicable, exclusive of GST.

3. Cancellations & Rescheduling

  1. The Client may cancel or reschedule a booking free of charge by providing at least 24 hours' notice before the scheduled service time.

  2. Cancellations or rescheduling requests made with less than 24 hours' notice may incur a cancellation fee of up to 50% of the quoted service price, to cover reserved time and travel.

  3. If our team is unable to access the property at the agreed time (e.g. no one home, incorrect access details) and this is not communicated at least 24 hours in advance, this will be treated as a late cancellation under clause 3.2.

  4. Dust It Off will make reasonable efforts to notify the Client as early as possible if we need to reschedule due to illness, weather, or other unforeseen circumstances, and will offer the next available appointment at no additional charge.

4. Access & Preparation

  1. The Client is responsible for providing safe and reasonable access to the property at the agreed time.

  2. For organisation and styling services, the Client should communicate any items of significant sentimental, financial, or fragile value in advance so appropriate care can be taken.

  3. Dust It Off is not responsible for pre-existing damage, wear, or defects in the property or its contents that are not caused by our Services.

5. Our Responsibilities

  1. Dust It Off will perform all Services with due care and skill, in accordance with the Australian Consumer Law.

  2. Dust It Off holds current public liability insurance covering our operations.

  3. Nothing in these Terms is intended to exclude, restrict, or modify any consumer guarantee, right, or remedy conferred on the Client under the Australian Consumer Law that cannot lawfully be excluded.

6. Liability

  1. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Dust It Off's liability for any loss or damage arising from the Services is limited to the cost of re-performing the affected Service or a refund of the amount paid for that Service, at our discretion.

  2. Dust It Off is not liable for indirect, consequential, or incidental loss (such as loss of income or loss of use) arising from the Services.

  3. Claims for damage or loss allegedly caused during a Service must be reported to Dust It Off in writing within 48 hours of the service being completed.

7. Photography & Marketing

  1. Dust It Off may take before-and-after photographs of completed work for portfolio and marketing purposes (including social media and the website).

  2. Photographs will not include identifying personal documents, information, or the Client's name/address unless separate written consent is given.

  3. Clients may opt out of photography at any time by advising Dust It Off in writing prior to the service.

8. Privacy

Dust It Off collects and handles personal information in accordance with our Privacy Policy, available at [insert link]. By booking a Service, you consent to the collection and use of your information as described there.

9. Termination of Ongoing Services

  1. For recurring or ongoing service arrangements, either party may terminate the arrangement by providing 14 days' written notice.

  2. Any outstanding invoices remain payable upon termination.

10. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of South Australia, Australia. Any disputes arising from these Terms or the Services will first be addressed through good-faith discussion, and if unresolved, may be referred to South Australia's Consumer and Business Services (CBS) or the Magistrates Court of South Australia (Minor Civil Claims Division), as applicable.

11. Changes to These Terms

Dust It Off may update these Terms from time to time. The current version will always be available on our website. Continued use of our Services after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
